How Business Voice Chat Service Works

To begin, tap the chat tab on the app to access the instant messaging feature. Users enter their chat address and password to sign in. Tapping on a contact allows the employee to continue a previous conversation, while tapping on the new message icon lets the user begin a new conversation with a contact.

From within the chat window, users may:

  • Start or continue a conversation
  • Send files
  • View the chat history with that contact
  • Call a contact
  • Add participants to the conversation

Whenever users are signed into their chat accounts, their presence information is displayed. The presence setting lets others know if their contacts are online, away, busy, on the phone or in a meeting. The meeting indicator references information in the user’s Outlook calendar.

Instant messages automatically sync to all the user’s MaX UC-enabled devices.
