How would I know if pure VoIP is the right choice for my company?

Cost: VoIP phone calls vs. a traditional circuit telephony provides several cost advantages. VoIP calls consume a certain amount of bandwidth on a data network only while the call is connected. There is no 1 to 1 relationship like there is in a circuit switched environment. When the channels sit idle in a circuit switch network they can’t be used for anything else. Using VoIP on a converged voice / data network your business can receive the right amount of bandwidth for voice and data traffic at peak times.

Flexibility / Scalability: Since VoIP calls can share the data network bandwidth, then overall bandwidth can be easily changed due to cyclical changes in call volumes and can be flexed up and down often without additions to new connections.

Integration: VoIP telephony provides the opportunity for integration, not only with telecom providers but also vendors, suppliers and other types of applications in your environment.
